We are delighted to share the wonderful news of a healthy baby boy born via C-section on December 11, 2025, weighing 8 lb 2 oz at 38 weeks in Victorville, California. Both the surrogate and the baby are doing exceptionally well.
This birth represents much more than a joyful arrival — it is a testament to resilience, trust, healing, and the unwavering commitment of everyone involved.
A Surrogate with Remarkable Experience and Extraordinary Dedication
Our surrogate E is an experienced and deeply dedicated surrogate who has successfully completed three previous journeys. Before being matched with the intended parents in this story, she had been matched with another family. After a successful embryo transfer, the embryo unexpectedly split into two — a rare developmental event. Later ultrasounds revealed subtle signs suggesting the two fetuses’ abdomens appeared connected. Tragically, the pregnancy ended when fetal heartbeats could no longer be detected, and E ultimately underwent a D&C.
It was a heartbreaking situation entirely caused by embryonic developmental factors, not by the surrogate. E took the time she needed to rest and recover physically and emotionally.
A New Match Built on Trust
Soon after, this current intended parent couple came to us seeking a compassionate and capable surrogate. Knowing E’s experience, responsibility, and loving nature, we believed she would be a wonderful match for them. Even after her previous loss, E remained courageous, optimistic, and committed to helping another family.
The intended parents trusted our recommendation — and that trust blossomed into a beautifully smooth journey.
A First-Transfer Success and a Complication-Free Pregnancy
The embryo transfer was successful on the very first attempt. The pregnancy progressed without any complications, and E displayed strength, care, and resilience throughout the entire journey.
A Small Twist Before Delivery
Just days before birth, E visited her OB for a routine ultrasound, which estimated the baby to weigh around 7 pounds. The next day, at her Maternal–Fetal Medicine (MFM) appointment, another scan estimated over 9 pounds — an impossible overnight jump. To minimize the risk of shoulder dystocia, the MFM specialist recommended a C-section.
Although ultrasound weight estimates are known to vary widely, everyone agreed to proceed with the C-section to ensure the safest outcome for both E and the baby.
Ultimately, the baby arrived at 8 lb 2 oz, reminding us once again that ultrasound weight predictions are helpful guidelines — but not always precise. Most importantly, everyone is healthy, and that is the best result we could ever hope for.
Congratulations and Heartfelt Gratitude
To the intended parents: Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! You trusted us, and you trusted E — and that trust brought your dream to life.
To surrogate E: Your courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication made this miracle possible. We are profoundly grateful for your strength and your heart.
