Most intended parent journeys take about 12 to 18 months from the initial consultation to your baby's birth. The exact timeline depends on several factors, including whether you already have embryos ready, how quickly a suitable surrogate match is found, and how smoothly the medical process progresses.

What Our Families Say
“We had an excellent experience working with Ivy Surrogacy, and especially with Kelli David, as Intended Parents --- twice! We worked with Kelli for two separate surrogate journeys. As repeat clients, we wholeheartedly recommend Ivy Surrogacy to anyone beginning their journey. Kelli came highly recommended by a friend and from our very first conversation, it was clear why. She stood out for her passion, knowledge, transparency, and genuine care for her clients. Kelli took the time to patiently answer every question, clearly explained the process and costs, and never pressured us to move faster than we were ready for. For our first journey, we chose the upgraded service and continued working with Kelli after matching with our surrogate. She was organized, responsive, and consistently proactive in managing each step, from recommending legal and trust services to coordinating with the clinic, surrogate, insurance, and bill payment. She was always accessible by phone, text, and email, often responding right away. Even when our second journey began with a different coordinator, Kelli later stepped in to ensure everything ran smoothly. Kelli is deeply committed to the important work she does, and it truly shows. We are so grateful to her and Ivy Surrogacy for helping us grow our family.”
“After 13 years of navigating the ups and downs of IVF and surrogacy, I was emotionally drained and carried a lot of skepticism toward the industry. I went into this process with Ivy Surrogacy feeling cold, distant, and distrustful. Thankfully, my wife stayed positive and open-minded, and that made all the difference. From the moment we started working with Kelli David, it was clear to my wife that she’s not just a professional—she’s someone who truly cares. Kelli treated our journey as more than just a transaction. She showed genuine compassion, incredible integrity, and a level of support that we had never experienced in this process before. Despite my guarded approach, Kelli remained patient and understanding, providing both practical and emotional support every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to save us costs, was flexible with payments when things became financially tight, and even now, after the birth of our son on October 24, 2024, she’s still ensuring we receive the most back from our escrow surplus. When I finally met Kelli in person toward the end of the process, I was struck by how deeply she cares—not just for intended parents like us but also for the surrogates. Her dedication goes far beyond what her role requires, and it’s clear she sees this work as a calling to help create miracles for families like ours. If you’re on this journey, know: Kelli is someone who will guide you with care, honesty, and professionalism. She turned what started as a deeply painful experience for us into one of the most meaningful and joyful chapters of our lives. My family will forever be grateful for Kelli and the team at Ivy Surrogacy.”
“I’m so glad we went through our journey as intended parents with Ivy! We had talked to several other agencies before I spoke to Kelli and they all felt transactional. Talking to Kelli was a breath of fresh air and immediately after, I knew I wanted to work with her. It just felt like she cared and wasn’t just about making money. They were the only agency we talked to that doesn’t charge an agency fee until we were matched. Other agencies make you pay the fee before you can even review their candidates. We had no idea what to expect as it was our first journey and it went as smoothly as we could have hoped for. Kelli was always there and quick to respond with any questions we had. We were matched with such an amazing surrogate and the process just felt very personal. The manager, Rebecca, for our surrogate was also so sweet and made it out to several appointments with our surrogate as support. Rebecca recently joined Ivy when she got our case but I would have never known that she was new as she was so supportive and knowledgeable throughout the process. If you’re looking for an agency that cares about you and your journey, look no further. After sharing my successful journey with family and friends, several folks have reached out for recommendations for their friends and I have referred them all to Ivy.”
Common Questions
How long does the entire surrogacy journey typically take?
When can the trust (escrow) account be closed?
The trust account remains open until all surrogacy-related bills, including delayed hospital invoices, are paid. This typically happens 6–12 months after delivery, with any remaining funds refunded to you.
What if the first embryo transfer doesn't result in pregnancy?
Most surrogacy contracts include up to three embryo transfer attempts. If the first transfer is unsuccessful, and both parties wish to continue—and the IVF physician agrees it's medically appropriate—another transfer can be scheduled. The doctor may recommend additional evaluations before the next attempt.
